Pitch Board vs Pitch Deck: What Should You Prepare?
Understand the difference between a focused visual pitch board, a multi-page deck, a lookbook, and a series bible.
Start with the recipient’s request
Pitch terminology is not standardized across every company. Ask what the recipient expects, including file type and length. A visual board, deck, lookbook, and series bible can overlap, but they are not automatically interchangeable.
A visual pitch board

A multi-page pitch deck
A deck gives separate pages or slides to different parts of the proposal. Depending on purpose, it may include the logline, story, characters, comparables, creator context, and series direction. Decide the scope before design begins.
A lookbook or series bible
A lookbook emphasizes visual references and atmosphere. A series bible generally develops the ongoing show in more depth. Neither label guarantees a specific page count or fulfills every buyer’s requirements.
